Cockles' debut album is coming at the end November, and to celebrate the pre-order is going live today, Cockles has released a music video for the latest single, narcissist

The idea for narcissist came about when Cockles had been toying with the concept of narcissism and wondered if, based on the fact that narcissists think they're amazing, would that also mean they think they're the best narcissist in the world?  The video for the single was shot and directed in June 2018 by Dolph (Dan McCauley and Jesse Coetsee). The shoot itself took the better part of a day and the animation took a few months.

“I'm a huge fan of Dolph's work, so it was a no-brainer for me to ask them to do this video too. As with the ‘Joshin’ Around’ video, we came up with a vague concept together and then Dan and Jesse just took it to a whole new realm of weirdness after the fact - and I couldn't be more stoked with the final product.”

Fans can look forward to the same oddly dressed man flaunting his narcissism with wacky doodles floating around him. The song itself is a stab at narcissists while acknowledging that we're all narcissists in some shape or form, and the video takes a very tongue-in-cheek display of said narcissism.
