Hot off the release of her sixth album, Tell Me You Love Me, Demi Lovato is opening her heart to fans again in an upcoming YouTube-exclusive documentary, Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated.
In its first trailer, Simply Complicated shows Demi opening up about how her mental and physical health changed as she enters her teens, while those closest around her worried:
As she says in the documentary, "I was not easy to work with." And multiple people, good friend Nick Jonas included, spoke about the 2010 incident where Demi punched one of her backup dancers and gave them a black eye.
"I went on, like, a bender," Demi shares, and was abusing substances daily. But now the singer's five and a half years into sobriety, single after a long-running relationship, and with that comes growth and reflection.
Simply Complicated debuts on YouTube on October 17.
