A Special Detail in the Royal Family Christmas Card That We Missed

With Christmas looming, the pre-holiday celebrations of some of our favorite celebrities have already begun to pepper our social feeds. But of course, the Christmas season isn't quite complete without the unveiling of celebrity Christmas cards, and the Royal Family kicked off the time-honored tradition with an adorable portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Louis, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte all dressed down in autumnal shades. However, if you pay close attention to the photo, you'll notice a tiny, special detail about Princess Charlotte's sweater that'll absolutely warm your heart: the sweater is a hand-me-down from brother Prince George.

According to People, Princess Charlotte was dressed in a blue knitted cardigan from Spanish brand Fina Ejerique, the same sweater she wore in a photo announcing the birth of her baby brother Prince Louis back in April. "We are really proud that our cardigan has become one of their favorite pieces, worn by both Prince George and Princess Charlotte. It’s really a great honor,” Ana Perez, creative director of Fina Ejerique, told People.

The cardigan was first worn by Prince George in a photograph featuring Queen Elizabeth's grandchildren and great-grandchildren from her 90th birthday.

Princess Charlotte seemingly took a page from her the Duchess' style book, as Kate Middleton is known to recycle her favorite looks. While attending the 2018 Tusk Conservation Awards, the Duchess stunned in a teal Jenny Packham dress, the same dress she previously wore to an event at London's Royal Albert Hall in 2012.
