Situated on the outskirts of Jo’burg and Pretoria, Soulstice Day Spas are great escapes from the hustle and bustle of big city life. We've been best friend since grade 8, went on exchange, gap year and to university together, she is my digs mate, my sister and my saviour when times are tough. This would be but a small thank you to her (and a huge treat for us both) for simply being the person she is, which is always someone who brings out the best in me. Boyfriends, work and university means we see far less of each other than both of us would like and although I am completely in love with my boyfriend, I still did not hesitate to motivate this comment with Lara in mind. She has always been there for me, she took care of me when our father passed away from a stroke. Whenever I need help she is always their for me. She has two small children and works full time. I'd love to be able to take her to Soulstice Day spa, so that she can just be. I can't remember when last I saw her shift the weight of everyone elses problems she carries around with her and just breathe. A trip to the spa would give her the chance to do just that...

Meaning me :) I would love a 'highest point' of my year - a relaxing spoil for me and my ESO (extremely significant other). We would love to be pampered to the 'highest point' of pampering and back. Shelley Pembroke on 10/10/2012: Ok, here's my situation. It took me over a year to convince my man friend that I was the one he wanted to be with. It was tough going. He was stubborn and I had to use all my feminine prowess to get my claws in him. But now I have. And we're exceptionally happy. The problem is, in all the ups and downs, we never really established an "anniversary" date. I'm pretty sure if you let me treat him (and myself) with this prize, I'd be able to mark it as our official date of epic relationshipness (aka 1 year).
