Nothing says ‘summer has arrived’ quiet like a pair of slip-slops or sandals and when it comes to beach-inspired footwear, Ipanema is often the brand of choice. Named after a chic neighbourhood in the southern region of Rio De Janeiro, Ipanema is one of Brazil’s best brands. It’s renowned for combining comfort with style and is always reinventing itself in pursuit of delivering a diversity of styles and designs that make sandals must-have summer fashion accessories.

For its 2012 collection, Ipanema has created a range inspired by a mix of romanticism and ethnicity drawn from the ‘70s. Think flowers in tropical colours, animal prints, casual metallic details, opaqueshades and lace.

Ipanema is giving away four pairs of shoes to four lucky readers, valued at R250 each. All you have to do is tell us where would be the most adventurous place you’d wear your sandals to by commenting below.
