Lezanne on 9/5/2012: Wow, great talent this year and I especially like the african trend coming through. Anmari Honiball, however, seems to truly take inspiration from her environment, as indicated in the layering of textures, combination of fabrics and colors, and also her particular attention to detail. It reminds me of an abstract painting, that reveals the unnoticeable facades and landscapes of Johannesburg. The pattern-cutting detail and originality in design silhouettes stand out compared to more classic pieces. Anmari clearly shows innovative design and conveys patriotism and pride towards Johannesburg, within in her designs.

Juan Crous on 9/8/2012: Really like the various ways in which each of the candidates/designers have totally been able to express their identity and personality. Number 1 stands out the most to me personaly. Anmari is a girl from the city and place that I still hold close to my heart. Seeing the visual urban complexities that she has used is really close to home, on the ground and true to current youth culture which is mixed, inspired and looking to trend in more unique way. I have to say that the colour choices are subtly vivid and texturing is decidedly a very fresh way of making clothing more accessable.

Aimée Koekemoer on 9/9/2012: This Elle awards has to go to the incredibly creative Miss Jane Elizabeth Kotzé, she set the bar for all students that studied at Elizabeth Galloway, and most certainly will do the same in the Fashion industry at Mr Price. I see myself wearing her designs whilst the rest of the designers work isn't very commercially viable, I don't see your average joe choosing any of the other designers work at a Mr Price. Jane Elizabeth Kotzé is the cherry on the cake.
Aimée Koekemoer on 9/9/2012: Jane Elizabeth Kotzé is by far the winner!
