Have you heard? Swedish fashion brand Tiger of Sweden is to open a new concept store in Cape Town!
Opening on 23 October on the upper level of the V&A Waterfront, the store will adopt an architectural clean-cut interior design inspired by urban lifestyles and minimalism. Custom-made furniture of aluminium and steel combine with velvet-paneled walls, high fashion and Scandinavian tailoring with an urban feel.
Established over 100 years ago on the west coast of Sweden the brand is now in 18 countries worldwide. Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront will be its third opening in South Africa, after Melrose Arch and Sandton City.
The store will stock Tiger of Sweden Jean’s A/W 2013 collection, called Twisted Archetypes. The collection is full of references to archetypical and generic garments but loaded with a new look and feel – think a sports stripe in an exclusive mohair sweater or a heavily coated jeans jacket. Finishes and details that change the shape, appearance and feel of a garment and collection. The collection is forward-thinking and doesn’t rely on a vintage approach yet keeps the night-time, rock n roll aesthetic that Tiger of Sweden Jeans are known for.
