Last week, we revealed our seven talented ELLE Style Reporter in association with BlackBerry® finalists here and we wasted no time in dishing out their third challenge. The brief below was sent to them on Friday and their entries had to be ready to go live today at 9am.

Brief:
‘In the world of fashion and front-row reporting, timing is everything. You need to be on the ball and quick off the mark to cover events as they occur. This is why your third challenge is all about beating the clock. Here’s what we expect:

1. This weekend, you must attend a cultural event and report on it. Tell us what you saw, experienced and loved, both visually and in a short, punchy and engaging write-up. Remember that fashion and streetstyle are part of the brief – but we want tipping-point stuff. How, for example, does what you see and hear connect with or reflect what is happening on the streets? We want to see this event through your eyes.

2. You can blog, but can you tweet? You will receive a BlackBerry® Bold ™ 9360 Smartphone on Friday, 12 October. Part of your challenge is to tweet from your event, keeping us in the cultural and fashion loop. Please use #StyleReporter and @message @ELLEmagazineSA when tweeting live.

Please make sure that the direct link to the above challenge is sent to Jennamc@ellemag.co.za by 9am on Monday, 15 October. If you fail to do so you will be disqualified.

Boy In PR on 10/17/2012: Having taken part in the style reporter search, I can almost feel the intensity among the finalist. We are (Yes, me included) all super talented and kudos to y'all for making it this far. I took the liberty of revisiting each candidates previous challenges and I must say I am somewhat impressed, however, while consistency might be good, growth and uniqueness is even more gooder*. I like totes love it, when I read a write up and it like creates a scenery and mood in my mind without looking at like the visuals versa vesa(sp), like Anna's fashion shower party in Milan, I was like reading the tweets and I felt like I was there, anyway while other posts had both strong visuals and write up, some had one and others just lacked both (Sorry, that was mean girl Lindsey talking). Anyway after much deliberation and careful consideration, blah blah blah... It all come down between: Trevor Stuurman and Phendu Kuta. I need a smoke..... Say can you smoke while upside down?
