News just in, YouTube sensation Suzelle DIY has been named as the winner of the the Superbalist 100 – a competition that seeks to name South Africans who influence the creative space in youth culture. Known as a vlogger to her fans and Julia Anastasopoulos to her parents, Suzelle's win marks an impromptu fashion shoot with Superbalist. In a leather jacket and bright rope earrings, the shoot is styled by Gabrielle Kannemeyer.
Suzelle's two-minute webisode series' are scripted and story-boarded alongside her partner Ari Kruger, who directs and edits them. The duo have plans for the videos to go global at some point and say that “the videos are still very much South African with South Africans watching them. We want to take it to festivals and introduce Suzelle to the world.”
With around 200,000 views for each video, and a Hot 100 win, Suzelle DIY is definitely on her way up.
