On my recent visit to Thailand, I was overwhelmed by the number of people and their way of dressing. However, to my dismay, I realised that I had forgotten my trusty camera back home (shock, horror!). I quickly bought a cheapie and set to work snapping passersby. Here’s a quick edit of the cool details I saw.

Clothing captures

It was really difficult to take pictures with all the hustle and bustle and with my not-so-cool camera that should have been called motion-blur expert because it just wouldn’t focus.– I like to think that it gave my photos a kind of ‘treatment’ anyway. My favourite shot is of ‘the backpack besties’ that I spotted one evening.

Shoe search

Something that made me a little sad, was the lack of cool kicks on the streets of Bangkok. I would see a girl wearing the cutest outfit with platform flip-flops covered in glitter. (Cringe!) So it became my mission to find the nicest shoes possible!

Umbrella diaries

It is rainy season in Thailand. One minute the sun’s out and it’s hot as hell and the next it’s pouring with rain and overcast – and hot as hell. Most people carry umbrellas regardless, mostly because of the glaring sun, but I’d like to think that they want to be prepared for the rain too. In fact, it seemed as though an umbrella is the coolest accessory to have and I saw all sorts of great ones.
