Selena Gomez made her first 2018 event appearance this afternoon at Coach’s fall/winter 2018 show in New York City. She posed backstage with brand new hair—long with light blunt bangs—and posted a couple Instagram stories explaining her absence from social media.
“Know that a lack of action on social media is not a lack of my love,” she told her fans. “I’m working on a lot of stuff and I will love on you guys so soon, I promise. Also, last thing, I might get in trouble for saying this but I’m doing some really, really cool stuff with Coach. It’s coming! See, this is why I can’t be on social media,” she said teasingly to her friend shooting. “I just say everything!”
Gomez confirmed her appearance at Coach’s show yesterday on the brand’s Instagram story.

She has gone to the brand’s last two shows:
Gomez’s last big events were the British Fashion Awards and Billboard Women in Music Awards back in December when she was a platinum blonde. On social media, she’s been largely inactive, but she did make headlines in January for quietly unfollowing over 270+ friends’ and celebs’ Instagrams, including Demi Lovato’s and Gigi Hadid’s. In January, it was reported that Gomez spent two weeks in a New York City treatment program for anxiety and depression.
Gomez most recently made headlines for her renewed romance with Justin Bieber. The two had an early Valentine’s Day trip to Laguna Beach this past weekend. It’s unclear whether the Biebs went to New York City with Gomez. He was last photographed out in Beverly Hills yesterday, where he ignored paparazzi questions about his Valentine’s Day plans with Gomez.
