Our favourite Barbados girl is reaching out to university students
She announced the launch on Instagram last night. Together with her organisation, The Clara Lionel Foundation (which she launched in 2012), the scholarship program is open to all residents of Brazil, Cuba, Haiti, Grenada, Guyana and Jamaica.
Rihanna shares her vision for The Clara Lionel Foundation on her website.
Bursaries range from $5 000 to $50 000 (approx. R76 000 - R760 000). Applications for this year's scholarships are open until next month, 10 June, and scholarships can be renewed for up to three years.
‘Higher education will help provide perspective, opportunities, and learning to a group of kids who really deserve it. I am thrilled to be able to do this,’ says Rihanna.
Good on you RiRi!
