PUT YOUR HANDS TOGETHER FOR ELLE’S NEW TALENT FRESH FACE FINALISTS

Last year, ELLE and Woolworths’ Fresh Face Search landed schoolgirl Alexandra Robertshaw a contract with Boss Models and a significant start to her modelling career. And now the time is fast approaching for us to choose the ELLE New Talent Fresh Face for 2012. So without further ado, here are our six finalists. All you have to do is to tell us who you think should win!

Rethabile Simelane
What are you hoping to bring to the ELLE New Talent Fresh Face brand?
Well, I’m actually hoping that it will bring something to me! This is a great opportunity to present myself and hopefully the right doors will open to help me pursue my modelling career.

Would you consider a full-time modelling career?
I take my modelling very seriously and after I matriculate I want to take a year off to focus on modelling and build up a good portfolio.

Chloe Munton
What would you want people to know about you?
I am a very creative person. I’m an art student and a left-handed guitarist.

Which model do you find the most inspiring?
Kate Moss is very unique. She’s not that tall, she’s about my height and I feel that if she can do it, so can I.

Lea Viviers
What qualities do you have that make you a winner?
I’m very spontaneous and I love working with different people from all walks of life. I always try to have a positive outlook on life.

How do you keep fit?
I’m obsessed with yoga and I practice it every day. I want to get my teachers’ certificate next year in India.

Tell us one interesting fact about yourself.
I can speak fluent Spanish, English and Afrikaans and I understand Portuguese.

Zama Dlomo
Have you done any modelling before?
Yes, I’ve been in beauty pageants since I was nine years old and over the years I’ve become more involved in the industry and developed a deeper love for it.

Describe yourself in a few words.
I’m an ambitious, adventurous, goal-oriented woman who loves and believes in God.

Why do you think you should win?
I feel like I have the right traits and I have a unique look that should be in ELLE. It’s important for me to believe in myself otherwise no-one else can.

Caitlin Hoogervorst
Why did you enter the ELLE New Talent Fresh Face competition?
People have always told me that I should try modelling but I always shrugged it off, as I’ve never taken myself seriously as a ‘model type’. But when my friend sent me the link to the competition I decided to give it a try.

What are your best attributes?
Physically, I would say my smile as I’m always smiling, and personality-wise, I’d say I’m a caring person.

Nina Greyling
How did you get into modelling?
This is my first time modelling; I haven’t done anything like this before. I live in a small town and when I saw the advert I was very excited. I asked my photography teacher to take a few pictures of me, and now here I am.

What makes you stand out?
I think you get two kinds of beauty. There’s that deadly beauty and then that fresh spark, that something different. I think I have a spark.
