Following Kylie Jenner’s birth announcement, Kim Kardashian immediately congratulated Jenner on Twitter.

And then today, she shared a heartfelt note to her sister on her site alongside Jenner’s video documenting her pregnancy. “Mommy Kylie!!! You did it!!!” Kardashian wrote. “I’m so incredibly proud of the woman you have grown up to be and I know that you are going to be the best mom to your new baby girl! Our girls are two weeks apart and I can’t wait for them to be besties! I am so proud that you do what you want to do and live your life the way you want, you will pass down all of those amazing qualities to your baby girl. You were made to be a mom! I love you!”
In Jenner’s announcement video, the first footage of Kardashian’s third child, Chicago West, is shown. (Chicago was born on January 15th, via surrogate.) In the clip, Jenner holds the baby alongside Kim and her brother Rob and his daughter Dream.
The name of Jenner’s child hasn’t been announced yet, though a source tells E! that her name “has some hidden meaning of a butterfly.” The internet speculated as much, given the butterfly imagery scattered in Jenner’s social media posts and pregnancy video.
Kardashian, for her part, kept quiet about Jenner’s pregnancy while Jenner was expecting. She explained to Ellen DeGeneres that she would not comment on other family members’ news. “We just decided there’s so much that goes on that we respect each other’s right to speak for ourselves so I will speak about myself and hopefully they can come on and address whatever rumours you might have,” she said in November.
