I am inspired by three women: Madonna, Oprah and my mother. There would be no Britney Spears, Fergie or the like without the queen of pop. I grew up with this super-legend who is not only a fashion icon and a musical genius but is now also taking directing very seriously. She is the epitome of a woman who is sexual and intelligent at the same time. With regards to Oprah, I love the fact that her Academy for Girls is right here in the Vaal. Oprah’s passion is identical to mine: girls’ education. With over 25 years in the business, she reflects success yet does not change. And finally, there’s my mother, Nothemba Mboya. I love that she is a God-loving Christian woman, a style icon and a cook extraordinaire. She instills the gifts of discipline, protection and nurturing not only in her family but also in her community.

Siyasanga on 2/20/2012: *gasp* Sim, I have never seen Amber Jones, but I love her judging from her range at Mr Price. One lady who inspires me, actually two, are Lira and Lee ann Liebenburg.
