We asked you via Facebook and Twitter to name the South Africans who inspire you. Then we asked these inspiring South Africans who inspires them. Here, as promised in our March issue, is the seventh of our 10-part online series, ‘Who Inspires the Inspiring’.

On my first day of work (my first job straight out of college) my older sister Busi said to me: ‘Dress for the job you want.’ This is one of the many tips she has shared with me, and a fashion tip I live by. I admire her attitude to fashion, the way she styles an outfit and carries it. A vintage Gianni Versace skirt paired with a Mr Price vest and a well-worn pair of brogues are worn with the same spirit as a no-name find or head-to-toe Dior. She is always the woman in the dress. Her sense of adventure, her courage, her spontaneity, can-do attitude and work ethic have always inspired me. The first time I travelled with her to Europe, I saw how brave and streetwise she is. Nothing is too daunting or impossible for Busi. She believes it and lives it.
