In our October issue of ELLE (on shelf now so go get her!) we dove into everything sports-inspired. One of the biggest trends for Summer 2012 was highlighted on the runways at Fashion week by the likes of Alexander Wang with mesh details, BCBG Max Azria with flowing fabrics and windbreaker jackets, Sass & Bide with an explosion of colour and Lacoste with collared dresses. As one of the easiest trends to pull off this season, all you need to do is look to details and colour, whether it’s a T-shirt with a mesh insert, a straight cut pleated skirt in neon orange or a hint of metallic or patent – it’s all about embracing it with subtleties and clean lines. So give it a go here:

Get inspired by ‘Ready, Set, Go’ – less is luxe in our October issue of ELLE. Turn to page 76 for more sports-inspired looks.
