Christina Felicia Lovedelia Kouveldt on 5/26/2011: hi, I saw the competition in the June edition and me and a friend of mine would love to enter but we don't fully understand the conditions. I the last condition mentions "students or... can't enter in the have been working with their name or something..." Does that mean if your a student you can't enter? Or is it just for the people who are established already? Also is it possible to enter as a team of two or not? Thanx F.Kouveldt

ELLE South Africa on 6/8/2011: To enter you need to design a womenswear collection of eight complete outfits for winter 2011/2011 that meets this year's brief: Show Us Your Pattern. "Show us Your Pattern" is the theme for this year's competition. You can interpret this any way you see fit. You do not have to submit actual patterns, simply story boards. Students may enter the competition. The condition regarding students clearly states that students or designers who have been operating their own labels for more than five years are not eligible for entry. Any person may enter the competition, with or without formal training. All entrants must enter as individuals and not as pairs. We hope this answers all your questions. Good luck, we are excited to see all the submissions. x
