ELLE Fashion Now brings to light the new generation of designers.

ELLE, the world’s number one fashion media brand has embarked on a worldwide project to promote emerging fashion designers.

ELLE Fashion Now brings together 46 ELLE publications from around the world with the goal of identifying and supporting emerging talents in fashion. From as far as Japan to Greece, and Indonesia to Canada, each publication has handpicked one designer to showcase three of their looks. Totalling 46 up and coming designers, the result offers a glimpse into a new era of trendsetting and fashion design.

As a Lebanese-American fashion designer, his diverging origins fuse styles of the East and the West, exuding a blend of freedom and traditional warmth. Whilst these worlds sometimes clash, in Rami Kadi’s namesake label everything attracts, ultimately creating a beauitful unity.”



JUAN HERNANDEZ DAELS: Juan Hernandez Daels

“With sharp tailoring and unconventional cuts, Juan Hernandez Daels mixes masculine cuts with latin american sensuality, in an ode to his Belgian-Argentinean origins. An alumnus of Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts, his collections are inspired by his years living and working in France, Italy and the Middle-East.”

“Modems’ fresh take on minimalism with a sexy twist sets a high standard for the Brazilian label helmed by Andre Boffano and Sam Santos. They uphold a consistent brand image and beautiful campaign visuals, enlisting the hottest young stylists, graphic designers and photographers in town. Their debut show at Minas Trend Fashion Week in 2016 was very well received, placing this label as one of the most solid brands from our latest crop of young designers.”

“We nominate the brand Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh because Virgil is a fashion disruptor who bridged what was happening in streetwear to what was happening on the runway in a new and refreshing way. Whether joining forces with iconic American brands such a Levi’s to reinterpret such classics as the ubiquitous 501 jean or playing with proportion on a little black dress, Virgil manages to bring relevancy and street sensibility to the most basic fashion staples and make them instant must-haves. “Helen Lee launched her namesake label in 2009 after having established herself in China as one of the top Shanghai designers with her debut streetwear brand (“insh”). Seeking to bring a more premium edge in her designs to women with “Helen Lee,” she caters to the stylishly adventurous and international woman with her unique signature prints and contemporary designs.”


ANAIS MAK: Jourden

“A talented young Hong Kong designer with passion and creativity, Anais Mak brings to her label Jourden an idiosyncratic take on womenswear, redefining sensitivities and deconstruction. Having studied in Paris before returning to Hong Kong to launch her brand, Anais Mak designs for a contemporary, feminine woman with a tomboy edge.”


PAYAL KHANDWALA: Payal Khandwala

“It’s easy to spot a Payal Khandwala design anywhere—skewed silhouettes, clever draping and colours with jewel-like vibrancy. They draw together her painter’s eye, her disarming candour and even her experiences as a mother (this collection was inspired by the curves and angles of her daughter’s geometry set). It’s hardly surprising then, that her label’s eponymous: Khandwala puts everything she is into everything she does.”

“After her debut in 2010, clutch bags made with clear PVC material garnered great attention and became Mame’s signature, bringing the label and its designer Maiko Kurogouchi to international popularity. “Kathleen Hanhee Kye is a young designer of enormous potiential in the international market. Since the first collection of her label Kye in 2011, she made a huge impact on the Korean fashion community with her witty and contemporary clothes, especially appreciated by K-pop stars.”

“Man Chien is a maker of wearable art. She is known for creating hand-painted garments which revolve around existential philosophy and emotion. Through her namesake brand she has chosen clothing as her medium, with each piece a one-off, full of emotion and life.”

And we are quite proud that his brand became widely known among fashion lovers after he took part in the “ELLE Vietnam Fashion Show” in 2015.”

“Since launching in 2013, Bulgarian label Divisione Protagonista has emerged onto the luxury fashion scene with clear cuts, pure geometric shapes and contemporary looks. The designer behind the brand, Lina Brankova Taneva, finds inspiration in the subtle layers of a woman’s character using luxurious natural fabrics. Her previous design experience at her debut brand earned her several awards, including “Fashion brand of the Year” and “Designer of the year,” anchoring her as important name in the local fashion scene.”



Sasha Joka – Fashion Director

“Tomislav Kliskinic and Marko Sabaric launched their brand Klisab, mixing mature silhouettes with a youthful approach in their collections. Their design talent earned them last year’s ELLE Croatia’s Style Award as “Best Young Designer”.”

Having recently won the ‘Dansk Design Talent Magasin Prisen’ award, she began showing at Copenhagen Fashion Week in February 2017. Her signature? Cute dresses styled with edgy boots.”
