We all know the drill: a day at the races dressed to the nines in something incredibly stylish and impressive. There’s schmoozing, talent-spotting, best-dressed scouting and if you’re actually interested in the horses and who’s running there’ll be plenty of betting. But what caught our attention is the action after the action at this year’s Official Vodacom Durban July Afterparty – and we’re giving away two tickets to one ELLE reader. Want to have some fun? What to expect?
Three dance floors, each with top DJs and performers. On the Supercharged floor, you’ll have Euphonik, Martin McHale, the Sp!ndoctor, Gareth Devore, Tomorrow’s Will and G – Funk.
In the Enchanted Garden, expect to find Roger Goode, Dean Fuel, Protoculture, DJ Fresh and Kyle Worde. While Chris Jack, Veranda Panda, Funky G, Royal K and Justin Miller will be in action at the VIP Deluxe floor.

When?
Diarise 7 July 2012.

Where?
At the DLI Hall at Greyville Racecourse in Durban

Time?
Doors open at 7pm and will be open till late – 4am late!

If you aren’t selected as our winner, don’t panic. Here’s where and how you can get a ticket: Tickets are on sale through selected Vodacom 4U outlets as well as Computicket nationwide. If you buy at Vodacom 4U, you will get 15% discount (while stocks last). A limited number of tickets will also be sold at the door on the night at R300 for Regular and R700 for Deluxe VIP tickets.

Thandy on 6/22/2012: I would take my friend Sphe last year we had planned to go and 2 weeks before the Durban July her mother passed away. We had her mum funeral the day of the Durban July and I would take her just to try and not have her think of this day as the day she said goodbye to her mum and to make her smile. I spotted a really cool dress at the Space a few weekends ago that when I saw it I thought Durban Vodacom July!! I can't miss it for the fashion, the different out of the workd styles that one usually sees at such events! And spotting our favourite celebs will be a plus! And party the night..day away :)
Ayanda on 6/25/2012: I would take my best friend or my boyfriend. They both have great fashion sense, although my best friend and i have been hoping we would be part of the event they are both great company and no matter where i am with them, there's always fun. Also would love to be part of the july to see the fashion, "who wore what" as i've just started working as a fashion stylist part-time. But due to investing in my fashion styling business i've had to cross it out my list this year. I would wear either this drop-dead gorgous dress i spotted at Forever New or this other Eva Longoria inspired (jaw-dropper)dress which i've asked my friend who just graduated from design school to design for me for my mom's 50th bday end of July(would have to improvise on replacing this outfit if i won the tickets lol.)
Yandisa Sobahle on 6/25/2012: I would take my friend Melanie because just like me she would love to go to the Durban July.Last year I had to cancel my plans of going to the even because of family.This would be a chance for Melanie to interact with other photographers and she would take beautiful pics and add it as momentum.I will be wearing a green and red dress designed by my designer friend Sanelisiwe aka Moonchild and will match it with this pair of green and red platform I saw this weeekend and match up wtith accessories.I look forward to the Durban July experience and seing color come to life.
pashentha on 6/27/2012: I"ve lived in Durban for 7 years now and never had the oppertunity to go to the July! I'd love to go and take my friend Megan with to enjoy all the high fashion around us and have mad fun! It woul be uch fun getting ready and dressign really over the top!

I have always wanted to take my sister but we never got the chance i hardly see her as i life abroad we both lovers of fashion and i would be very grateful if i had the chance to spend a great time with her. we will definitely make the most of the night :)
