What is R205 to you? A new pair of shoes that you may (or may not) still be wearing next season? A new lipstick for summer? A trip to the movies for you and a friend? Thanks to Dermalogica, R205 could also be your way of changing a female entrepreneur’s life forever.

Here’s how: joinFITE is run by Kiva.org and Dermalogica and it’s what allows you and me to support any female entrepreneur registered with them, regardless of where she is. A loan of R205 is all many of these women need to start or grow a business to ultimately better themselves, their families and their communities.

You know that message everyone puts at the bottom of their emails, the one that says ‘Be the change you want to see’? Well, it has never been easier to make a real change. On 13 September 2012 – that’s this Thursday – Dermalogica wants to create a ripple effect by getting as many of us to donate as possible. For one day and one day only, you will be able to make a $25 (around R205) microloan to the female entrepreneurs of your choice.
