Blac Chyna has found herself in hot water after she announced a collaboration with skin lightening brand Whitenicious by Dencia. The star announced on Tuesday that she'd be heading to Lagos Nigeria to promote the new collaboration with the brand.
She wrote, "Lagos Nigeria, join me at the first official launch of my face cream this Sunday November 25th at the Whitenicious store from 1-5PM. Everyone is invited." According to the company's website, the Whitenicious collaboration is described as "illuminating and brightening cream" that reportedly lightens skin without bleaching it out.
According to TMZ a representative of Chyna has stated that Blac Chyna has been using the skin lightener to help with her hyperpigmentation.
Many were quick to call out Chyna for endorsing the controversial product, and others were equally upset over the exorbitant price. (The product retails for $250, that's roughly R3 400)
See what critics think of the collaboration below:

Blac Chyna partnering up with Africa's bleaching king and queen to create a new face bleaching cream is beyond problematic.
It's really rubbing me the wrong way, ain't no way in hell she would do that in LA. Exploiting Nigeria's colourism problem is disgusting

Azealia Banks, who is not new to controversy, had also been criticised for endorsing whitenicious and skin bleaching back in 2016.
