Online Artwork How ToOnline Artwork Get the lookWe caught up with M.A.C senior make-up artist Michelle-Lee Collins to get the inside scoop behind the beauty looks created for the ELLE Rising Star event that took place in Jo’burg last week:

‘The brief for make-up was fresh and youthful, but with a strong element of shine-enhanced touches. The eyes radiated a playful gold reflection with a strong cut of eyeliner through the crease of the eyes to signify the edgy, architectural element of these up-and-coming designers.’

GET-THE-LOOK-WITH-MACYou will need:

1. M.A.C Peaches Blusher, R210

2. M.A.C Paint Pots in Indianwood and Constructivist shades, R190 each

3. M.A.C Match Master SPF15 Foundation, R320

4. M.A.C Fluidline Blacktrack Liquid Liner, R175

5. M.A.C Tan and Copper Sparkle Pigments, R250

Love the look? So do we, so we asked Michelle-Lee to dish on how to recreate the look:

Step 1: Start with M.A.C Match Master SPF15 Foundation, R320, for a perfect canvas to apply the rest of your make-up on. It gives the skin a natural matte finish.

Step 2: For the eyes, use M.A.C Tan and Copper Sparkle Pigments, R250, and apply over M.A.C Paint Pots in Indianwood and Constructivist shades, R190 each.

Step 3: For the crease of the eyes, use M.A.C Fluidline Blacktrack Liquid Liner, R175, and apply with a M.A.C 210 brush, through the socket lines and along the lower lash lines, and extend out to the corner of the eyes for the double-liner effect.

Step 4: Use M.A.C Peaches Blusher, R210, on the apples of the cheeks for a fresh, flushed look.

Step 5: Finish off the look by dabbing concealer onto lips, and then applying M.A.C Sheer Luster Lipstick, R180, on top for a subtle hint of colour.
