It takes florals to surreal new heights.
With just a week until the Erdem for H&M collection arrives in stores, the brand has intensified the excitement by unveiling its campaign video, directed by Baz Luhrmann.
Soundtracked by the Years and Years, The Secret Life of Flowers sees a young man introduced to a magical country house where it is always spring. Harriet Walter plays the lady of the house - Miss Havisham type figure - who fills the house with as many wild flowers as possible. She then throws a lavish dinner party where the lead meets the girl of his dreams. A love triangle emerges, but nothing that bad can really happen in Erdem's flower-filled world.
'I wanted the film to be like a whole movie,' says Luhrmann. 'It's a very modern love story, set in a country house that is full of its own secrets and it's like a metaphor for our times - it's harsh out there in the world, but in here, the things that really matter keep growing in an eternal spring.'
