The Look

For The Blonds’ show which was particularly exciting, we worked with a makeup artist called Kabuki who created this amazing drag queen-like style for the makeup.

The liner was very special! They used plastic fabricated from a material used in the actual show forming part of some of the garments. Kabuki cut the liner out the evening before and all the artists were instructed to place them about a millimetre from the lash line giving a striking sort of holographic effect to the eye paired with a little bit of mascara.

SkinSpo

The skin was true to the season with a focus on fresh, healthy youthful skin. MAC’s face and body played a key role in creating this seasonal skin-look once again. We used a bit of Studio Fix fluid down the centre of the face to get a more refined look. We took care to make sure parts around the eye, nose and mouth area were perfectly concealed.

Cheeks and lips

To finish the look: beautiful fuchsia blush applied in a sort of V-shape from the temples all the way down the cheek bones, and a palette of nude tones that feature in the new Retro Matte liquid lipsticks paired with a massive coat of clear lip gloss were applied to models’ lips – by instruction we wanted the gloss to look as though it was about to drip off for an overall super dewy, sweaty look.
