Give each of us a pair of Calvin anything, and we’ll do our best to rock them so cool… But, for now, we’re leaving it to the pros, hand-picked by Calvin Klein’s Chief Creative Officer, Raf Simons, for its Spring 2018 campaign with the underlying theme of unity and family.
It started with the queen of cool, Solange, rocking that platinum ‘fro, alongside her ‘musical family’ from a month ago, and now it’s a whole new other crew and love with Simons’ long-time friend and fashion aficionado, rapper A$AP Rocky and his A$AP Mob crew.
In head-to-toe Calvin Klein (denim to underwear in black and blue), the eight-man strong crew was lensed by Willy Vanderperre. And there’s a short behind-the-scenes video to be viewed, if for nothing else but A$AP Rocky’s ‘Our Calvins’ impromptu statement.
But it’s all good because long before his on-again/off-again romance with the world’s current highest-paid model, Kendall Jenner, A$AP (born Rakim Mayers) had his eyes on the world of fashion and it on him, having headlined campaigns for Dior Homme and DKNY, and sitting front-row and rocking the red carpet in bespoke pieces, many of which were designed by Simons. And showing some major love back, the 29-year-old rapper honoured his friend, Simons, earlier this year with the track, RAF…
